Beautiful depiction of the crucifixion with Mary Magdalene, Mary and Saint John at the foot of the cross. It is under glas in an ornate frame.
This is a picture woven from silk (stevengraph) produced by Neyret Freres. The company started in 1823 and still produces ribbons.
'Reproduction prohibited' is written in French at the bottom.
The picture is not placed perfectly in the frame. It is in very good condition.
The frame is made of wood and gesso. It has a beautiful design but large parts are missing. There are some chips, cracks, stains and very damaged and broken corners. Some missing parts have been repainted in gold.
The image is surrounded by a grey blue velvet frame. The pile doesn't always go in the same directions so it appears to have different shades.
The glass has scratches and small imperfections.
Card at the back. It is held in the frame with rusty pins. A paper seems to have been removed.
Two metal loops and a string to display against the wall. The loops are a bit rusty.

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
If a returned item is received damaged the loss in value will be deducted.
